I Googled my name

Image
So, I googled my name yesterday and found my old Live Journal . My last entry was January 1st 2006. I blogged fairly regularly for a whole year. It's so interesting to read about that year of our life. I started the blog right after I had my surgery on my right elbow and was out of work for awhile. I was just getting into watching Season 1 of 24. Dave went to Seattle for his buddy's wedding and Nicki Loomis and Melissa Cramer (now Meyer) kept me company. We blogged about our fun adventures living in Dubuque and what newly wed life was like. I look back with such fondness although when I read some of my entries, I remember some of the very difficult things we went through. We had a wonderful, solid marriage but we went through a lot together. The blog begins in IA with Dave attending Emmaus Bible College. Dave graduated, we moved all our belongings to CO, we moved into my parents basement, we spent the summer at camp on Whidbey Island as Staff Directors for our 2nd summer in a r...

Boy Lovin'

Oh I love my boys. . .such a joy in my life. Judah is so full of life! He has a wonderful imagination and loves learning new things he's a sponge!! He loves looking through his Bible and praying. His heart is very soft. He loves to talk about things but is still learning how to communicate. Liam is such a funny boy. . . a little comedian really. He loves to act silly and make funny faces for the camera. He's very sensitive and cries easily over little things. He cried over me flushing a bug. :-) He likes to sit with me and be close. Gabriel. . .oh boy! He's a riot. Definitely the most challenging of all the boys but makes me laugh all the time! He LOVES to snuggle but it requires a blankie (any size), and his "Deedee" (stuffed elephant). Then there's Dave. He is the most amazing man! He knows how to show his love in so many ways and always makes me feel special. He's a servant and patient. He puts up with so much from me. He helps more around the house the...

A Wonderful husband

Image
Liam has been getting up earlier and earlier every day. it's taking it's toll on me. I NEED my sleep and cherish each moment my head rests on my pillow. Sunday mornings I am basically a single mom. Dave has to leave around 7ish for church. I get the kids going and we barely get to church by 11. I usually leave church before Dave and beat him home by an hour. Well, last Sunday Liam woke at 7 when Dave was a bout to walk out the door. Dave fed Liam breakfast, dressed him for church and took him with. Gabriel slept till 9 and so did I. WOOHOO! I had a easy morning just feeding and dressing Gabriel. I even had time to give him a bath. We got to church and I felt like a different person. It was great. I love Liam but he's been a little handful lately. All that to say, Dave is such a caring husband!

A New Year

We're over a week into January already. Time flies. I am sitting here typing this while Dave is busy at work and Liam is napping. I should be napping too. I feel pretty good though after being blessed with a good night's sleep which lacked in aches and pains. Praise the Lord for good sleep. We got our selves a memory foam topper for our bed and I sure am hoping that helps for the remainder of this pregnancy. We haven't tried it yet because it has to take shape over 24-48 hours. Maybe tonight. :-) I am 30 weeks along today according to my midwife's date, March 18th. I personally think it will be more like the 25th. We'll see. This pregnancy has been different in so many ways. I have had a lot more "issues" this time. I would share but it's not pleasant stuff. I also had morning sickness longer but less intense. The pains started sooner this time and are much worse then last time. I was SOOO emotional in the first trimester. All I can say is. . .Poor Dav...
