Happy 4th of July!!
Dave is out walking 5 miles with our youth and hopefully many members of our church. Mission 24:7 Walk-a-Thon is today! Mission 24:7 is our high schoolers raising $24,000dollars in 7 months to build a chidren's home in Kenya for Children with Hope. The 7 months ends July 31st and we weren't even close to $24,000. The kids were trying extra hard to get business sponsors for the Walk-a-Thon. We don't know what money has been raised so far but we're praying for BIG numbers. It's suposed to be 100 degrees today so I chose to keep the boys home and forgo the walking. I sure hope there's a lot of people out there. Dave and Thom (the founder of Children with Hope) were on the news yesterday being interviewed for the Walk-a-Thon. That's exciting! Pray it goes well and that we can raise WAY more then just $24,000. This atfernoon the boys and I are going to Grandma and Grandpa's (my parents) to swim in their 4 foot pool.
