Tired of being sick!

Image
So, all four of us are sick. Dave's had a fever off and on. Liam had a little fever yesterday. Gabriel had a fever last night and again today. We all have phlem and coughs. I've been sick for over a week now and the boys are on my heels. The other day to top it all off I had to get antibiotics for a UTI and I had a migraine. Liam and I were sick for two weeks last month and then we were all sick back in Dec. before leaving for Seattle. Sick 3 times in 3 months for weeks at a time. . . . I am tired of this! I haven't been going to play groups, MOPS or MOMS club activities in the last couple months. I have missed church a few times. I can't keep up with the house and laundry. I feel useless. I put all my energy into taking care of my sick kids and I just don't have anything else to give. I am looking forward to spring. I want to open all our windows and let the fresh air come in and clean our house. I want to go on walks and enjoy the sun. I want to take the boys out ...

Silent Auction

We are going to be hosting a lunch by donation and silent auction at our church within the next couple months. We need donations to make the silent auction possible. I know many of you own your own businesses and some of you are involved with direct marketing businesses such as BeautiControl, Home Interiors, Premier Designs, Avon etc. If you have any services or product you would like to donate we would greatly appreciate it. In turn, you will get some advertising through your donation. We would also accept unused home made items such as crafts, Fresh pies and cakes, canned goods, quilts etc. We would ask that anything you donate be New AND Nice. :-) Please let us know if you have something to donate to our cause and we will coordinate with you to pick it up. Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Liam's 3 rd Birthday Party

So, I found this pattern online and thought we'd give it a try. It's 2 round 9inch cakes. Here's the first stage of the dinosaur cake. Here's the finished cake! I was very proud of myself. What a mama won't do for her kids. It took me a couple hours to frost it but looked so cool after it was done. I order bag from Oriental trading and each of the kids got to decorate one. They seemed to really have fun and the parents really got into it too. It was nice being in our house instead of the condo cause we had a lot more room. It never felt terribly crowded although there was a lot of kids and parents. This is Gabriel and my best friend's little boy. They are two days apart. We were leaving the hospital with Gabriel when Drew was being born. They're looking up at a balloon. I LOVE this picture! Liam's eyes sparkle! He was SO thrilled about the dino cake and the 3 candles. It took some prompting to get him to blow the candles out. He was embarrasse...
